Precision Customized Products

Application: Semiconductor equipment factory
Material: 100% PTFE (Teflon)

☆Teflon introduction:

Teflon is the Chinese translation of the brand name Telfon® of polytetrafluoroethylene (English: Polytetrafluoroethylene, abbreviated as PTFE). It is a synthetic polymer material that uses fluorine to replace all hydrogen atoms in polyethylene. This material is resistant to acids, alkalis, and various organic solvents, and is almost insoluble in all solvents. At the same time, PTFE has the characteristics of high temperature resistance. The normal working temperature can reach 260 degrees, and the instantaneous working temperature can reach 300 degrees. However, when it exceeds 375 degrees, it will produce fluorophosgene and perfluoroisobutylene that are harmful to the body, so iron Fluoron is generally produced by cold pressing and thermoforming.

Its friction coefficient is extremely low, so it can be used for lubrication. It is often made into oil seals, Teflon seals, gaskets, back-up rings, piston rings, wear-resistant sheets, etc. It is widely used in air and hydraulic machinery, Motorcycles, bicycles, automobiles (mechanical shaft seals, valve seats, valves, carburetor shafts), etc.

☆Main features

․ PTFE is mechanically soft and has very low surface energy.

․ Density: 2.1–2.3 g/cm³

․ Corrosion resistance: Able to withstand the action of all strong acids (including fluorantibonic acid, aqua regia), strong bases, strong oxidants, reducing agents and various organic solvents except molten alkali metals, fluorinated media and molten strong alkali.

․ Insulation: not affected by environment and frequency, resistivity up to 1018 ohm·cm, small dielectric loss, high breakdown voltage.

․ High and low temperature resistance: Little effect on temperature, wide temperature range, usable temperature -190~260 ℃.

․ Self-lubricating: It has the smallest friction coefficient among plastics and is an ideal oil-free lubricating material.

․ Surface non-stickiness: No known solid material can adhere to the surface. It is a solid material with the smallest surface energy.

․ Atmospheric aging resistance, radiation resistance and low permeability: after long-term exposure to the atmosphere, the surface and performance remain unchanged.

․ Non-flammability: Oxygen limiting index [6] is below 90.
